Vision Statement

Opening Minds

We believe that all are part of God’s Creation. We affirm and embrace diversity and invite full participation by people of any gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, age, race and ethnicity, economic level, and physical and intellectual ability in all aspects of our ministry. Through listening, communicating, and learning, we seek to hear all voices; risk the possibility of being changed; and strive to live out God’s Love, Justice, and Peace.

Opening Hearts

We believe that we are called to embody God’s Love for all as revealed to us in Jesus. Grounded in that Love, we of Trinity United Church willingly risk being vulnerable, strive to love one another, and open ourselves to receiving love by being unlimited in our mercy, compassion, and respect for all.

Opening Doors

We believe that Trinity United Church is a House of God for all people; we receive and extend God’s Hospitality by welcoming and valuing everyone. An Affirming congregation embraces inclusiveness and diversity. We achieve this by reaching out to those who cannot come to us, by providing space for community groups, and we live into God’s Ministry by maintaining community both within and beyond our walls.

WHOEVER YOU ARE, WHOEVER YOU LOVE, YOU ARE WELCOME HERE.

Land Acknowledgement

Trinity United Church is situated on treaty land, land rich with the history of First Nations such as the Attawandaron, the Haudenosaunee, and the Anishinaabe, including the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We stand with Indigenous peoples, past and present, in promoting the wise stewardship of these lands on which we live, and we pray for God’s help as we move along the challenging path towards Truth and Reconciliation.
