WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
World Day of Prayer is a global, ecumenical movement of Christian women joined together to observe a common day of prayer each year on the first Friday of March.
All over the world not only women but also men and children worshiped using the same service. The WDP motto of “Informed Prayer and Prayerful Action” signifies that prayer and action are inseparable. This complements the International Women’s Day 2015 theme “Make It Happen”.
Grimsby’s service exemplified the theme of “radical love” – extreme love, yet very basic and important. Participants worked together to offer a meaningful service and time of fellowship. Rev. Svinda Heinrichs of Trinity reminded us that each of us is a child of God.
Thank you to all. March appears to be the month to encourage each person, unique and loved, to thoughtfully and prayerfully take compassionate action.
