February 9 – Annual General Meeting

February 9 – Annual General Meeting

“Blessed are those who can give without remembering and receive without forgetting.” – Author Unknown.

There are literally dozens of congregation members here at Trinity who fall into this “Blessed” category; those who give of themselves freely and effortlessly and never keep score or wait for reciprocation.
You’ll find most of them working to bring you the Annual General Meeting this Sunday during worship. A huge round of thank yous and appreciation for the many people who hold volunteer leadership roles at Trinity.

SCRIPTURE   Matthew 5:13-20  read by Linda Tuck

CHILDREN’S TIME    Children leave after this time for Godly Play

RESPONSIVE READING   Psalm 112 VU 834   lead by Linda Tuck
SERMON   Rev. Donalee Williams

After the reflection time, we shared in a light lunch (although there was lots of food!) and then proceeded into our annual meeting where we honoured those who passed away in 2019, celebrated with those who were married and/or baptized and shared in the good work that happens here at Trinity.

Music leadership by Kimberly Hanmer, Music Co-ordinator at Trinity.  Such lovely music, played with such warmth and feeling.  Thank you Kimberly!  Music included:  “Flute Meditation” by Andrey Komanetsky; “In Concrete, Brick, and Living Stone” ; “The Church Is Wherever God’s People”; “Morning Has Broken”; “In Loving Partnership We Come”; “I’m Gonna Live So God Can Use Me”  and “Trumpet Tune”.
