December 23 – Advent IV Love

December 23 – Advent IV Love

Welcome to Trinity on this day before Christmas Eve, Advent IV, the candle of LOVE.

CALL TO WORSHIP Flames of the Spirit
One: God calls us now in this Christmas season to become new,
All: To make room for our own nativity, even where there is no room at the inn.
One: Where we are busy—
All: Peace.
One: Where we are lost—
All: Salvation.
One: Where we are sad—
All: Joy.
One: Where we are bitter—
All: Love.
One: Let this hour be a time to hope for all these gifts of God.
All: Amen.

SCRIPTURE    Micah 5:1-5    read by Wayne Brown

REFLECTION ―Northern Nativity‖ William Kurelek

Rev Alan Minarcik shared this beautiful video of Kurelek art works depicting a modern day 1930’s time of what it would have been like if Joseph, Mary and Jesus were arriving in the prairie town, without shelter and food.  Enjoy the video.  It will become clear who Joseph, Mary and Jesus are by their ‘halos’.

Merry Christmas to you as you celebrate Jesus birth.  Join us on Christmas Eve at 7 p.m. for candle light family service or 10 p.m. for candle light and communion.
