ROSE GARDEN
Trinity would like to support you at the impending death, or death, of your loved one. Our staff is on call to support you twenty-four hours a day. If helpful, we can connect you with someone who has had a similar experience.
Most funeral arrangements are made by the family. The family of the deceased, will contact the funeral home of their choice, who, in turn, will contact Trinity’s minister; or you may call Marilyn or Christina personally. The family and minister will meet to discuss details for the funeral service.
Funeral services may be conducted at Trinity or at the funeral home chapel.
Trinity willingly offers the same pastoral care to the community at large as it does for its own members and adherents. This pastoral service is free.
Costs for Funerals at Trinity: $250 for the minister; $100 for the organist; $100 for the Custodian; $25 for bulletins.
Should you desire a reception following the service, this can be provided by Trinity folk at a cost of $5/person for coffee and squares; or $6/person for sandwiches, coffee, squares. Veggie, Fruit or Cheese trays can be provided at extra cost.
Trinity's Rose Garden - The Scattering of Ashes
The Rose Garden is available to all members of the United Church of Canada and their immediate family members and adherents and supportive participants and their families. If there is a question of the status of an individual who wishes to use the Rose Garden, the minister(s) and the Board of Trustees will be consulted.
There is no charge for the scattering of ashes. A record of all sprinkling of ashes will be kept at Trinity. Contact the ministers to make arrangements.
Plaques, honouring the deceased will be affixed to a granite monument located in the Rose Garden. Markings include First name, middle name (optional), family name, date of birth and date of death. Plaques will be ordered through Trinity, paid in advance and presently cost $350.
